Day tickets on sale for FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2018 after impressive first wave demand

MIES/TENERIFE (FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2018) - After huge demand for the first wave of venue pass tickets for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2018, fans can now get their hands on day tickets.

The day tickets are the second of three ticket types for the prestigious FIBA Women's flagship event, which is taking place in Tenerife between September 22 and 30.

Supporters are being urged to act swiftly so they can secure their presence at the games, after the initial wave of tickets witnessed 91 percent of venue passes sold for the final phase in the Santiago Martin Arena, as well as 71 percent for the Group Phase. Meanwhile 69 percent of venue passes were sold for the Quico Cabrera venue which will also host the Group Phase.

An electric atmosphere is anticipated at both of the competition's venues, with the fans of all teams joined by a high number of young players and school children ready to attend as part of the FIBA Women's Basketball World up legacy.

The day tickets range in price from €7 to €21 and are for the Group Phase only. They allow access to all games played on one particular day of the Group Phase or of the Quarter-Final Qualifications. A day pass cannot be bought for the Final Phase.

A third ‘session ticket’ option will be made available on Monday, August 6.
