Brazil announces preliminary roster for FIBA Women's AmeriCup 2021

MIAMI (USA) - Brazil has released an initial shortlist of players called to represent their country in the FIBA ​​Women’s AmeriCup 2021 in San Juan, Puerto Rico from 11 to 19 of June. The roster includes 17 names, ranging from experienced figures and several rising stars.

José Neto will lead the Brazilian team as he did in 2019 when they took home bronze. The 12 players who were in this tournament also make up this shortlist with the continental event in mind.

Veteran players flood this Brazilian roster, headed by the legendary Érika de Souza, along with the experienced Damiris Dantas, Clarissa Dos Santos, Nadia Colhado, Débora Costa, Isabela Ramona, Tainá Paixão, Patty Teixeira and Tati Pacheco also accompanied by Rapha Monteiro, Alana Gonçalo and Mari Dias.

Other important pieces in the list include Maria Paula Albiero and Kamilla Cardoso, both from the NCAA (BYU and Syracuse respectively). The list is completed by Tássia Carcavalli, Thayná Silva and Mariane Carvalho.

In the coming weeks, the Brazilian Basketball Confederation (CBB) will release information on the preparation of the Brazilian team, as well as the date of presentation and the training venue.
