The FIBA Media Portal is available in English, Chinese, French and Spanish.

The submission of a media accreditation request will be possible after registration only. Should you already have an account, please use your email address and password to sign-in and select your event.

We remind you that only professional members of the media will be considered for accreditation and that only applications completed and submitted online within the media accreditation application deadlines will be taken into consideration.

    DECISIONS

Media credentials will be awarded on the basis of the professional history of the applying media, relevance to the event and basketball in general, as well as space availability in the venues.

FIBA will ultimately be responsible for the delivery of the accreditation decisions and distribution of badges for the event.

    IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER - COVID-19 REGULATIONS

FIBA and the Local Organizing Committee in Puerto Rico will make every effort to welcome all successfully accredited media at the event and do their best to guarantee them a good level of access and coverage.

However, as the COVID-19 pandemic is still affecting the situation in America, limiting activities in indoor venues, FIBA reserves the right to recall accreditation approvals at any time and/or limit the number of media that will be allowed to attend the event, if such advice is given by its Medical Commission and based on the recommendations of local government.

Media representatives wishing to cover the event on-site must know:

    • -The government has limited the capacity of the venue to 30% (including Media Tribune)
    • -Only vaccinated media members will be accredited
    • -No players access (no Mixed Zone)
    • -Virtual post-game Press Conferences (Live on YouTube)
    • -A very limited number of accreditations for photographer will be approved

For further queries please email accreditation@fiba.basketball.

  • ON-SITE AND REMOTE CREDENTIALS

All media representatives, local and international, wishing to cover the event on-site or remotely, are invited to apply through the FIBA Media Portal. No other form of application will be accepted.

Media representatives that are not planning to travel to Puerto Rico, but wish to follow the event remotely and have the opportunity to ask questions to players and coaches virtually, are kindly asked to apply for a Remote Coverage Accreditation.

The “remote media coverage accreditation” will allow you to follow the event remotely and have the opportunity to ask questions to players and coaches virtually during media availability (after the game, via the FIBA Communications Coordinator on-site and during post-game press conferences). You will also receive additional content to support your coverage of the event from afar.

The virtual press conference with coaches and players from both participating teams will be held 15 minutes after the end of each game.
