South American U15 champions highlight Chile's 12-player list for preparation phase in USA
SANTIAGO (Chile) – The hosts of the FIBA U16 Women’s Americas Championship announced today the country’s 12-player list for its preparation phase in the USA.
Chile will head to North America from May 15-29, were the team coached by Warren Espinoza will travel to Indiana and Orlando for key games.

Seven players from Chile’s South American U15 Women’s Championship winning side are present in the country’s list for the trip.
Fernanda Ovalle, who was Chile’s main offensive weapon in the South American U15 Women’s Championship with 17.6 points and 10.2 rebounds per game, will take full advantage of the preparation stage as she will be a leading figure for the team in the continental event.
Chile selected Group B of the FIBA U16 Women’s Americas Championship and will start the continental competition against El Salvador. “Las Huasitas” will then face Mexico and the USA to close-out the Group Phase of the competition.
