Chile select 12-player roster for South American Championship
SANTIAGO (FIBA Women’s AmeriCup 2019) – Head Coach Andrea Bilbao announced Chile’s 12-player roster for the South American Women’s Championship 2018.

"We want to go step by step. With such a short preparation process, we make every effort to work with technology that allows us to have tools for the strategy and to achieve one of the first objectives that is the qualification. Then, we will live in the present. Without a doubt, our team will give its very best," said Bilbao.
"We are very excited to qualify to the AmeriCup. With the full team, we can engage the tactical systems and our game identity. We worked on it in these first days. Without doubt the incorporation of both (Morrison and Gómez) gives us alternatives and improves our internal game," she concluded.
Chile was drawn into Group A of the South American Women’s Championship and will begin the regional championship against Paraguay on August 30. Chile will then face Venezuela and Brazil to close-out the Group Phase of the regional championship.
The teams that qualify to the Semi-Finals of the South American Women’s Championship will also earn tickets to the FIBA Women’s AmeriCup 2019.
