LAS VEGAS (2007 FIBA Americas Championship) - Behind a game-high 27 points from Anthony Pedroza, Mexico snapped a six game losing streak and defeated Venezuela 101-91 on Wednesday in Second Round action of the 2007 FIBA Americas Championship.

Mexico trailed 50-46 at halftime, but outscored Venezuela 31-15 in the third quarter and led by as many as 21 in the final stanza.

Venezuela has now lost two straight games.

Adam Parada de los Reyes and Victor Marsical combined for 40 points, as Mexico outworked Venezuela 48-32 in the paint.

Hector Romero scored 23 points in a losing effort for Venezuela.
