The best Slovenian coach, topping Zmago Sagadin and Tomo Mahoric.

The humble Pipan has come a long way from the small Slovenian town of Maribor, where he started his coaching career in the early 1990s. He moved on to lead virtually all major teams of the former Yugoslav Republic and was promoted to assistant coach of the national team eight years ago.

In 2004 he finally took command and led the national team to the first qualification for a FIBA World Championship in Slovenian history at last year's EuroBasket in Belgrade.

Like every summer, Pipan has a team loaded with talent. And like every summer, he dreams of big achievements. The Slovenian coach hopes that in Japan, those dreams will not again be shattered by injuries and key absences.
