Australia and New Zealand stay undefeated, Division B teams set

SUVA (FIBA U18 Women's Oceania Championship 2016) – After a one-point win over Papua New Guinea, team Guam were full of confidence coming up against a New Caledonia side determined to bounce back after a big loss to New Zealand. New Caledonia put their foot down early and didn’t let up, cruising to a 32-point win bringing them to 2-1 for the tournament. Cynderella Fanalupe had an inspired performance for New Caledonia with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

New Zealand continued their dominance on both ends of the floor. Papua New Guinea fought until the end but were simply outmatched against a polished and determined New Zealand side. Akiene Reed continued to dominate for New Zealand with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.

Tahiti came into this matchup looking for their first win. Samoa may have stumbled against a formidable Australian team the day before but they looked sharp from the jump.
