New Caledonia looking to make a splash at FIBA U18 Oceania Championships 2016
NOUMEA (FIBA U18 Oceania Championships 2016) - New Caledonia are looking to leverage their wealth of experience at past FIBA events to make their mark at this year's qualifier for the 2017 FIBA U19 World Championships.
With ten (10) players from the Men's roster and seven (7) from the Women's having played at past FIBA events, New Caledonia have the talent and experience to challenge most teams at this year’s event.
The Men's roster should be looking to put up some big numbers with returning their top five (5) scorers from the 2015 FIBA U16 Oceania Championship.
Leading the pack is Jeroboam Fenuafanote, who averaged 10.8 points and 7 rebounds per game in 2015. He will want to build on these numbers this year and show the rest of the region what New Caledonia is made of.
