WNBL will be streamed on FIBA's Youtube channel

MIES (Switzerland) - The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) is pulling out all the stops to showcase world-class hoops from Asia and Oceania with the online broadcast of renowned professional leagues in the continent.

Following the Japanese B. League and the Philippine Basketball Association, Australia's Women's National Basketball League's (WNBL) upcoming season will also be shown live on FIBA's official YouTube channel.

It's the latest step of FIBA bringing the game closer to the fans by continuing to offer live content in the middle of the pandemic that has limited live audience participation.

Last month, Basketball Australia and Queensland Government announced that the 2020 Chemist Warehouse WNBL will push through as planned in North Queensland – slowly but surely paving the way for resumption of sports in the country.

The WNBL has set a restructured season inside a semi-bubble with the livestreaming by FIBA social media platforms.

The content may be subject to geoblocking in some countries on YouTube.

The WNBL will usher its bubble season this November 12 until December 20 with the regions of Cairns and Mackay along with the City of Townsville serving as temporary homes of the six-week tournament.

For more information check the official website of the WNBL here.
