Union Sportive Monastir set to defend Tunisian League title
MONASTIR (Tunisia) - Tunisian champions Union Sportive Monastir advanced to the 2020 Tunisian League final thanks to a 71-61 win over JS Kairouan on Wednesday.
It was Monastir's second win in the two-game semifinal series against JSK, and they will defend their national league title following a 143-127 win on aggregate.

The Monastiriene side, who count with the likes of of Tunisian internationals Omar Abada, Radhouane Slimane, Mohamed Hadidane and Firas Lahiani, just to mention a few, will face the winner of the second semifinal between DS Grombalia (DSG) and Etoile Sportive de Rades.
After beating DSG 82-80 in the first-leg at home, Etoile Sportive Rades conceded an 86-68 away defeat in Wednesday's second-leg, leaving the last spot in this year's final open for a final decisive Game 3 on Saturday, July 25 in Rades.
The two-game 2020 Tunisian League final series begins on August 8 with Game 2 taking place a week later.

Just like the champions of Angola, Egypt, Morocco, Nigerian and Senegal, the champions of the Tunisian League earn automatic qualification to the proposed Basketball Africa League (BAL), whose inaugural season is expected this year.
BAL's qualification process involves more than 30 basketball clubs from across the African continent.
