The Solomon Islands Basketball Federation (SIBF) elected their new board members last July 30 at the National Olympic Committee of Solomon Islands (NOCSI) Conference room.

The result of the election was the re-election of Brian Pongotapu as President.

"I would like to thank the election committee for trusting me for another term. I hope the new group can forget about the past and work together in preparation for the 2023 Pacific Games," said Pongotapu.

FIBA Oceania Executive Director, David Crocker was on hand to personally witness the induction of the new board of the SIBF.

"Congratulations to the new board and thank you to the interim committee for orchestrating the election. FIBA looks forward to working with the new board and help them in their preparation for the 2023 Pacific Games," he said.

Eric Malcolm (Vice President), Enrico Meneses (Treasurer), Hayzel Maui (General Secretary), board members; Fa'moana Topue, Timmy Magi and Augustine Basiaw will make up the rest of the SIBF board members.
