New FIBA agreement keeps Germany national team games on Magenta

MIES (Switzerland) - FIBA and Deutsche Telekom have agreed to a new five-year partnership until 2025 that allows basketball fans in Germany to watch their national team in action, including the FIBA EuroBasket 2022, in which Germany is one of four co-host nations for the event, as well as the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 and its qualifiers starting in November 2021.

The agreement comes into effect immediately with Germany's national team's qualifying games for the FIBA EuroBasket 2022 against Great Britain on February 20 and Montenegro on February 22. All basketball fans can follow these two games live and free of charge in HD across three platforms: on TV through MagentaTV, online via magentasport.de and on mobile devices, thanks to the MagentaTV app.

The agreement includes, among other competitions, the FIBA ​​EuroBasket 2025 and its qualifiers, as well as the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament games from the event in Split, Croatia starting June 29, 2021, where Germany will play for a spot in the Tokyo Olympic Games.
