Kim eyes China clash following India triumph

MEDAN (2015 FIBA Asia U16 Women's Championship) – After watching his team’s comprehensive 97-52 victory over India on the opening day of the 2015 FIBA Asia U16 Championship for Women, South Korea head coach, Hyun Young Kim, spoke to FIBA.com in a look ahead of the heavy weight clash against defending champions China.

Are you satisfied with the performance of your team today?
Yes, my players performed pretty well considering it’s the opening game. I can say that they stuck to my instructions from start to finish.

Give us a quick assessment of the two big opponents you have?

Tomorrow's clash will be a chance for us to study them (China) as well as assess our own strengths and weaknesses. In fact it is the same for both the teams.

Japan is another team that is equally strong, but I would rather concentrate on my next opponent now.

Korea produced a surprise in 2011 in Jinan by reaching the final following a semi-final win over China, is that possible this time?

Why not, our target is clear and that’s to get to the final.
