IBF encouraging healthy lifestyle for World Health Organization's 'Walk the Talk' event

MIES - The International Basketball Foundation cooperated with the Swiss Basketball Federation for the World Health Organization's “Walk the Talk”  event that took place on Sunday in Geneva close to the WHO headquarters.

The Walk the Talk: The Health for All Challenge  is a celebration of the importance of health which is one the IBF's core values. The event encourages people to walk and be active. It was a great success with over 5000 people taking part.


The IBF and Swiss Basketball were present with a stand on the route, bringing 6 basketball support units (4 for adults, 2 for Minis Basketball) and monitors gave attendees tips to perfect their shots.

Dahlia Miranda Monteiro, gold medalist in the Skills Contest at the FIBA ​​3x3 U18  World Cup 2017, was present to show of her skills and teach some tricks to walkers.

Over 500 basketballs were given out to encourage the participants to be active and play basketball.
