MUNICH - FIBA TIME-OUT participant, and FIBA Europe Youth Ambassador Natasa Kovacevic, is set to be the subject of an upcoming documentary by Serbian director Ivica Vidanovic.

Kovacevic had her professional player career come to an abrupt end in September 2013, following a tragic car accident, which led to the death of two people, and the amputation of Kovacevic's leg.

However, in the face of grave adversity, Kovacevic has not allowed the setback to affect her outlook on life, going on to earn two university degrees, as well as return to competitive basketball.

This was assisted by FIBA Europe and the French Basketball Federation who worked towards getting a special prosthetic leg for Kovacevic, which allows the advanced mobility required in sport.

Each step of this struggle has been captured in Vidanovic's documentary, "The Leap", which is now seeking crowdfunding in order for the last steps to be achieved in seeing the project cross the finish line.

    ...

The documentary features a number of FIBA basketball notable figures, including FIBA Secretary Emeritus Borislav Stankovic, FIBA Executive Director Europe Kamil Novak, FIBA Central Board Member Jean-Pierre Siutat and French legends Boris Diaw and Tony Parker.

Contributions can be made to the crowdfunding campaign here, for the following two months.
