MIES (Switzerland) - The FIBA Open 2020 is taking place tomorrow 5 September from midday to approximately 5pm at the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball.

FIBA has decided to allow the tournament to take place and give youths opportunities to play after a long break from treading the courts.

The event, organized by FIBA's Foundation, is following strict security guidelines to ensure the health and well being of all participants. 33 teams with approximately 120 players will compete in the categories U9, U12 and U14.

Except for two accompanying persons per team, the event is closed to the public as not to exceed 300 people on the site.

Different contests including a skills challenge and a Dr.Dish shooting challenge will take place throughout the day. A catering tent as well as a boutique with various basketball items will be at service of the guests.

FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis will be on site to give out prizes to the winners.
