FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2022 dates confirmed

BEIRUT (Lebanon) – The FIBA Regional Office Asia has confirmed on Monday that the FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2022 will take place from 26 September to 1 October 2022.

The FIBA Asia Champions Cup - Asia’s premier club competition - will continue to feature 8 of the best clubs from all across Asia, Battling to become the number one club in the continent. The eight teams will be composed of the league champions from China (CBA), Japan (B.League), Korea (KBL), and the Philippines (PBA), together with 4 other teams that will have to earn their spots through the Sub-Zone Qualifiers.

The most recent edition of the competition was back in 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand where B.League’s Alvark Tokyo (JPN) beat Al Riyadi (LBN) to become the first Japanese club to win this prestigious continental club competition.

The winner of the FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2022 will qualify to represent the continent at the FIBA Intercontinental Cup 2023, FIBA’s premier club competition at the global stage.
