LUANDA (FIBA Africa Champions Cup Women 2017) - Mozambican side Ferroviario de Maputo will take on GS Petroliers from Algeria on Friday in the Quarter-Finals of the ongoing FIBA Africa Champions Cup Women 2017 at the Kilamba Arena. 

GS Petroliers' Ginette Mfutila will have to dig deep against the pre-tournament favorites especially when she comes up against Argentine center Veronica Gisela Vega, she will find her match. 

Ferroviario de Maputo head coach Inaki Garcia denied the pre-favorites tag but statistics indicate they will be in the run for the ultimate trophy, their first in history. 

But first, the matter that is the Algerian side that will throw everything at this tie if not for the representation of North Africa at this continental tournament then for the rebirth of Algerian women's basketball. 

In the other pairings, debutants Equity Bank Hawks who managed just one win in Group B take on the unbeaten Angolan giants Primeiro de Agosto. 

First Bank from Nigeria square off against Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) while the reigning African champions InterClube will face a tough challenge when they take on stubborn DC Motema Pembe.
