ABIDJAN (Cote d’Ivoire) – Abderrazak El Akari, chairman of the provisional committee for the management of the Moroccan Basketball Federation visited the House of African Basketball on Friday February 21 in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.

During his working session with FIBA Africa Regional Director Alphonse Bile, Mr. El Akari gave an update on the progress of the standardization process of the Royal Moroccan Basketball Federation which should end with the holding of the Elective General Assembly on April 15, 2020.

El Akari stressed that all steps are being taken to structure the federation in perfect accordance with Moroccan law and the FIBA statutes.

The federal board that will be elected will be responsible for the revitalizing of basketball activities and the preparation the national teams for a better performance at international stages.
