MIES (Switzerland) - The countries gearing up for this summer's FIBA U19 Basketball World Cups will have a better idea about the challenges awaiting them when the draws for both the men's and women's tournaments take place on Wednesday, April 28, in Berlin, Germany.

The events will get underway at 17:30 CET and will be livestreamed on the FIBA YouTube channel.

The FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2021 is the 15th edition of the tournament and will be played in Latvia, in the cities of Riga and Daugavpils, from July 3 to July 11.

The FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup 2021 is the 14th edition and will take place from August 7-15 in Debrecen, Hungary.

The USA won the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2019 in Crete, Greece by defeating Mali in the Final, marking the fourth time in the past six tournaments that the Americans finished top of the podium.

The United States, who are also looking to defend the championship they claimed in the FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup 2019 after a thrilling overtime triumph against Australia in Bangkok, Thailand, have reached the top of the podium in seven of the previous eight women's tournaments.
