BERLIN (EuroBasket 2015) - Italy captain Luigi Datome has been ruled out of the remaining games in EuroBasket 2015's Group B in Berlin while Robin Benzing of Germany will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's game against Turkey.

Datome suffered a muscle injury in the first half of Italy's game against Iceland on Sunday and sat out the rest of the contest.

Although the Italian camp were initially not very concerned about the gravity of the injury, the forward was submitted to tests on Sunday night and the diagnosis was that he should remain sidelined until at least Thursday.

That coincides with Italy's last game in the group stage, against Serbia, and means that their captain will play again in this EuroBasket only if the Azzurri qualify to the Final Phase.

Germany on the other hand appear to be much luckier.

Benzing, who sprained his ankle in the opening game against Iceland on Saturday, is recovering well and could return to action as soon as Tuesday.

"I hope he will play, he did a little bit in practice today, so we'll see how he feels tomorrow," Germany head coach Chris Fleming said after his team's Monday practice session.
