Croatia roll over Turkey for revenge, spot in title game

HERAKLION (2015 FIBA U19 World Championship) - Croatia got their revenge and will now play for the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship title after beating Turkey, 91-56, in the Semi-Finals. Croatia advanced to their first U19 Worlds Final and at the same time exacted revenge for their loss to the Turks in 2014 U18 European Championship Semis. Croatia will play the winner of the Greece-United States Semi-Final for the 2015 title.

Turning Point: Croatia put the pedal to the medal right from the start with Marko Arapovic scoring 10 points in the first quarter in building a 20-8 lead. And the onslaught was under way.

Stats Don't Lie: Croatia hit 57 percent from the field while holding Turkey to 35 percent. The Croatians also out-rebounded Turkey 45-26 while scoring 46 points in the paint to 24 for Turkey.

Game Hero: Arapovic did it all for Croatia with 25 points, 15 rebounds, six assists and three steals. He also carried his injured teammate Borna Kapusta off the court in the fourth quarter.

The Bottom Line: Ten Croatians played but essentially it was six guys who beat Turkey as three Croatians played fewer than three minutes and another had 6:40 minutes of action. Turkey will paly the loser between United States and Greece for third place.
