Conica connects with environment through sports flooring systems

MIES (Switzerland) – FIBA's Equipment & Venue Centre encourages the development of sustainable arenas and offers a global platform to find the highest level of quality, testing and innovation related to basketball equipment and software.

Conica is one of FIBA's Equipment & Venue Centre partners for indoor and outdoor sports flooring systems who supply approved products that fulfill the strict requirements of high-level basketball competitions.

Conica became a partner of the Equipment & Venue Centre in 2005 as a Swiss-based company with more than 40 years of experience in flooring solutions. The company has made major strides in environmental measures for its products since then.

Conica's Managing Director, Chirag Shah, said: "Basketball is one of the most popular sports worldwide, played both indoors and outdoors. FIBA has established technical standards for sports flooring which have to be met in order to be approved, ensuring that the chosen sports floor is of the highest quality. With Conica's flooring being FIBA certified our clients know they are getting a surface which meets the demands of basketball."

One of Conica's latest innovations is the Conipur CE Full Pur indoor sports flooring system with its liquid elastic layer which meets all of the important international norms and technical standards and is officially approved by FIBA, as well as being a long-lasting, sustainable product.

Conica is pushing forward in finding and establishing more sustainable raw materials for its products. The company is reducing the consumption of natural resources as a preventative measure and is minimizing the environmental effects by recycling and closing material cycles to avoid waste. They also aim to further develop their innovative sports flooring products, with incorporated bio-based natural materials or with an extended lifetime.
