YAOUNDE (AfroBasket Women 2015) - Senegal and Cameroon advanced to Saturday's Final of AfroBasket Women 2015 after beating Angola and Nigeria, respectively in Friday's Semi-Finals in Yaounde, Cameroon. 

Astou Traore propelled Senegal to the title game after a 56-54 upset of defending champions Angola.

Traore, looking to win her first African championship, finished with 17 points as Senegal set up a finale against tournament hosts Cameroon.

Senegal led from start to finish, but almost spoiled their chances as Angola rallied from a 15-point deficit in the third quarter to tie the contest at 54 with 30 seconds left to play but Traore's two free-throws in the final nine seconds allowed the Senegalese to celebrate their first defeat of Angola since 2011.

In the first Semi-Final, Cameroon edged out Nigeria 71-70.

Amina Njonkou and Ramses Lonlack combined for 34 points as Cameroon secured at least a place at next year's FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament (WOQT).

Two key Nigeria players, Ndidi Madu and Olayinka Sanni, fouled out midway through the fourth quarter, and Nigeria were never the same near the painted area.

It was Cameroon's  seventh win in as many games.

In Classification Round games for 5th-8th places, Mozambique beat Egypt 99-76 and Mali defeated Gabon 71-52.

Earlier in the day, Algeria cruised past South Africa 87-49 in the 11th-12th place game and Guinea upset Uganda 53-52 in the 9th-10th place game.
