PRISHTINA - It is with great sadness that FIBA on Saturday heard of the passing of Kosovo national team player Gazmend Sinani, 27,  who was killed in a traffic accident which also injured players Granit and Fisnik Rugova and Altin Morina as well as physio Kujtim Shala.

FIBA extends its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and team-mates of those affected.

It is a tragic blow for the Kosovo Basketball Federation whose grief is shared by FIBA and  the entire basketball community worldwide.

FIBA will work with the Kosovo Basketball Federation to provide all necessary assistance to the family of Sinani and all those affected by the tragedy.
