Aspiring female photographers fill attendance of first ever photography workshop in Lebanon

BEIRUT (Lebanon) - FIBA Regional Office – Asia continued its commitment to improve the level of basketball photography by holding a first-ever photography workshop in Lebanon between February 4-6.

The three-day workshop was organized by Sports Mania under the supervision of the Lebanese Basketball Federation (LBF).

The workshop was successfully held and further showcased the effort and commitment in an attempt to support regional photographers and upgrade the level of media coverage in the country.

"This photography workshop was very fruitful for me personally. I learned many new things regarding FIBA and basketball photography. I’m looking forward to start shooting basketball games with the new information that I've learned," said one of the participants, Chadi Abou Daher.

With the aim to increase the pool of FIBA standard photographers in Asia, the workshop was well-attended, with many aspiring female photographers in attendance.

"After 11 years of experience in basketball photography, it was about time to have a photography workshop in Lebanon. I want to thank Sportsmania and FLB in collaboration with the FIBA Regional Office - Asia for making it happen."

"I learned new techniques that will help improve my work and hopefully we will see similar workshops more regularly," said one of the female participants Lara Arapgulian.

The participants eagerly participated throughout the workshop and took the opportunity to gain knowledge, share experiences, and network with others in the same field of profession.

After a presentation briefing, the photographers got the opportunity to shoot a youth game and implemented the information that they had received the previous day.

The photos of the participants were assessed the following day and the participants continuously displayed enthusiasm throughout the event, engaging the hosts with questions in search to better themselves and be prepared for future competitions.
