MUNICH (Germany) - The national teams of Albania and Belarus will not participate in the November window of the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2021 Qualifiers. 

FIBA Regional Office Europe was informed by the respective National Federations about critical COVID-19-related disruptions to their preparations, which will prevent the teams from travelling and taking part in the Qualifiers bubble in Istanbul, Turkey.

As a result, the following decisions have been taken: 

• The games E/6 TUR - ALB & E/7 ALB - LTU will not be played as scheduled and the status of those games will be decided by the relevant disciplinary bodies at a later stage. 
• The game F/3 BLR - POL will not be played as scheduled. The status of this game will be decided by the relevant disciplinary bodies at a later stage. 

One of six approved venues for the upcoming window, Istanbul is hosting the protected environment tournaments for Groups E and F, which Albania and Belarus were set to take part in. 

The remaining games in Istanbul are not impacted and are set to take place as planned.
