NGR - Comets, Union Bank secure win

LAGOS (Premier League) - Ebun Comets basketball club starts the 2007/ 2008 Nigeria Premier league season on a winning note with a 58-50 points victory over Customs basketball club.

AHIP will today (Monday) begin the season first road trip game to the Atlantic Conference when it confront out of favour Delta Force basketball club at the Asaba Township Stadium.

The match we gathered may not hold as the Delta Force management have threatened to pull the team out of the league citing financial constraint as the main reason.

The Kano-based AHIP Giant will visit Lagos Tuesday and remain until Saturday for a five-match duel against Customs (Tuesday), Ebun Comets (Wednesday), Dodan Warriors (Thursday), Union Bank (Friday) and Islanders (Saturday).
