Gambia (Olympic Solidarity Technical course for coaches) - The Basketball Federation of Gambia hosted the coaches' technical course in Banjul from 8-19 May 2013.

Ronald Owino, a coaching expert renowned as a FIBA Africa Instructor, put 24 coaches through their paces in a beginners course (Level 1) to help promote youth basketball in the country thanks to enhanced coaching skills.

The 12-day programme combined on-court practical sessions and theoretical sessions. Demonstrations involved player (between the ages of 18 and 28) who helped the expert highlight the theories taught throughout the course.
