BUENOS AIRES (FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament for Women) - Argentina firmly believe they have a women's team that is good enough to reach the London Games.

The silver-medal winners at the FIBA Americas Championship for Women will be among the 12 teams battling for five spots at the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament for Women (25 June-1 July 2012).

The hope, CABB president German Vaccaro says, is to give the players a homecourt advantage in the additional qualifiers.

Argentina, the Czech Republic and Turkey are the three candidates to host the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament for Women.

"These girls deserve for us to bid to host the event, considering the great moment our women's basketball is experiencing," Vaccaro said.

"Our intention is to host the pre-Olympic Qualifying tournament.

"We are not going to go crazy but we will try."
