Instituto hopes to raise its level in front of their fans, Franca will try to appeal to the intensity

CÓRDOBA (DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana 2018) - The second match of the DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana 2018 will be played on December 13 at the home of Instituto the Ángel Sandrín stadium in Cordoba, Argentina.

Franca of Brazil dominated the first match of the best of three series, with a tight score of 92-90, last Friday at the Pedrocao gym and now will try to win as a visitor to win the title.

However, Instituto has other plans and hopes with a better defense and with the warmth of their fans, to force the third and final duel that would be played on December 14.

"The energy that is going to come from outside is going to be positive and it will push us a bit more, but we have to defend well in terms of the tactical five against five and one against one. We cannot play for 90 points, we must lower the scoring," said coach Facundo Müller to the press department of Instituto.

In the first game Franca scored 16 of 32 three-pointers, 11 of them in the first half. That great effectiveness allowed them to take advantage of 12 points (90-78) with three minutes remaining and to contain the final push of the Instituto that closed the game with a 12-2 run and had the last offensive possession of the match.

"It is clear that 90 points is very high and that is what they are looking for. We have to lower that. We have tactical resources that we have prepared these days to improve the defense," added the Argentine coach.

For his part, Franca will try to appeal to intensity and concentration to emerge victorious, according to the forward Marcos Louzada Silva, better known as "Didi".

"We have to play with the heart, leave everything we have on the court. These days we have trained hard, we work hard to correct the mistakes of the first game and we are ready. Córdoba is a strong team, with a dangerous attack and they will be at home. We are going to face a difficult atmosphere, the fans are going to make noise and we need to be focused, play with intensity to dictate our pace and seek the victory and the title," said the 19-year-old who in the previous match ended with 21 units.
