Flamengo to host Semi-Final Group at Jeunesse Arena

SAN JUAN (DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana 2018) – The International Basketball Federation in the Americas, FIBA Americas, confirmed today that the Jeunesse Arena of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, will host the second Semi-Final Group of the DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana 2018.

Although it was previously announced that the Arena Olimpica de Deodoro would host the second Semifinal, Flamengo requested the change to the Jeunesse Arena to the regional office and it was approved this morning.

Flamengo will host the Semi-Final Group at the Jeunesse Arena and will receive the teams from Instituto de Cordoba (Argentina), Bauru (Brazil) and Minas Tenis Clube (Brazil).

With a capacity of 15 thousand, the Jeunesse Arena hosted the 2007 Pan American Games, the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games and the 2014 edition of the FIBA Intercontinental Cup, where Flamengo defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv to celebrate the championship.

The second Semi-Final Group of the DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana 2018 will have the following schedule:

November 20, 2018
17:00 – Flamengo (BRA) vs Instituto (ARG)
19:15 – Minas (BRA) vs Bauru (BRA)

November 21, 2018
19:00 – Flamengo (BRA) vs Minas (BRA)
21:15 – Instituto (ARG) vs Bauru (BRA)

November 22, 2018
18:15 – Instituto (ARG) vs Minas (BRA)
20:30 – Flamengo (BRA) vs Bauru (BRA)

The top team from the Semi-Final Group in Rio de Janeiro will qualify to the Final of the DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana 2018.

The winner of the DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana 2018 will celebrate with the Horacio Muratore Cup.
