BUENOS AIRES (DIRECTV Liga de las Americas 2019) - The last two DIRECTV Liga de las Americas champions, San Lorenzo de Almagro and Guaros de Lara, will meet on Sunday to determine the Champion of the 2019 edition. Two of the most dominant teams of the continent, will determine who is the best and who will have the honor of being called Americas’ Champion.

Guaros, the only team that has lifted the title on consecutive occasions (2016 and 2017) will do everything possible to recover the trophy, while San Lorenzo, with all the thrust and support of its fans, will try to retain the scepter.

The Venezuelans, who arrive undefeated (7-0), got into the decisive match after overcoming Capitanes de Ciudad de Mexico on the first day of the Final4, 81-66. For its part, the Argentines did the same against Paulistano, 76-58.

On their last encounter, in the same venue during the Semi-Final Phase, the team from Laras was victorious with a score of 66-57. But beyond the difference, the team coached by Fernando Duró were forceful because they made the opponent look uncomfortable, while taking away one of their main strengths, the attack in transition.

"We know it will be different from the last game," said Duró. "But we really want it. We all feel the challenge and I know we are going to give everything in this Final," added the argentine coach.

Meanwhile, the team of San Lorenzo thinks of defending their court and their throne.

"It's going to be a tough game. It's a final and there will be no excuses. You have to go out and do the work. We want to be “back-to-back” champions and we have to plan the game very well. I am sure that we will have more energy this time,” said Gonzalo García, coach of San Lorenzo.
