Redivo: "We will try to impose a fast, physical and intense game"

PONCE (DIRECTV Liga de las Americas) - With a method different from the usual, Bahía Basket transits through professional basketball with its unique project. With a squad where the biggest responsibilities lie on young and inexperienced players.

The team already achieved prominence in the Argentinian National League and in this season they face international challenges. Initially, they took second place at the Liga Sudamericana, which opened the door for a debut at the Liga de las Americas.

In this development some players are showing clear personal growth, and a brave example is Lucio Redivo, who made a lot of noise with his performances.

The Bahian player remarked the value that Bahía Basket has for this new international commitment and sought to compensate with other virtues the lack of experience of the squad.

How is Bahia Basket living this international challenge of the Liga de las Americas?
We take it with enthusiasm. We know it is a tough, demanding group, but we have the best expectations. We are happy to participate in a Liga de las Americas for the first time. As with the Liga Sudamericana, it serves to add experience. We will face great teams, great players, something that will make this tournament even better.

How much did the participation in the Liga Sudamericana help the young players of the team?
It served us a lot, because it was the first international experience for many of us, who are young. Beyond the defeat, we reached the final of the regional tournament and that was very positive. In addition, the team showed character to win key matches in the first two rounds. All of this gives us expectations to face the LDA.

What do you think of the qualifying group with Leones de Ponce (PUR), Cocodrilos de Caracas (VEN) and Academia (COL)?
That it is a difficult group, with very even teams. I was watching parts of some games, I know some players, but it will be with the final scouting that we define how to play each team. Cocodrilos is a young team, like us. It will be key to win that first match. For that we will try to impose a fast, physical and intense game to wear down the rival.
