FIBA Europe Cup Qualifiers' pairings and Regular Season groups drawn

MUNICH (Germany) - The pairings of the FIBA Europe Cup Qualification Rounds have been confirmed, with the Regular Season picture also becoming clearer following the draw.

There will be only one Qualification Round for the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season this season. The first legs of the home-and-away ties will be played on October 2 while the reverse fixtures will take place on October 9. The five winning teams from these pairings will join the Regular Season of the FIBA Europe Cup.

The pairings are as follows:

A draw slotted the 12 directly qualified teams into Regular Season groups, where they will be joined by the winning teams from the Qualifiers and up to 15 teams from the Basketball Champions League Qualification Rounds.

An outline of the Regular Season is below:

 

The asterisk denotes certain clubs participating in the Basketball Champions League Qualifiers. Should any of those clubs qualify for the Basketball Champions League Regular Season, then their position will be filled in the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season by a "lucky loser" from the FIBA Europe Cup Qualifiers. They will be ranked according to the FIBA Europe Cup Regulations.

The Regular Season tips off on October 23.
