Cholet make it through to Second Round; Hapoel Haifa finish 5-1 as Group B leaders

MUNICH (Germany) - Cholet Basket guaranteed their spot in the Second Round of FIBA Europe Cup action, while Hapoel B-Cure Laser Haifa completed a near perfect Regular Season campaign.

The French side rounded out Tuesday night's action with a comfortable 100-75 success over Rilski Sportist to secure a top-two finish in Group E with either CSM CSU Oradea or Kangoeroes Basket joining them.

Cholet enjoyed an all-round effort from Dominic Artis in their victory as the American guard put up 17 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds and 3 steals in his team's big victory. Perry Ellis was also very effective in his return after missing last week, scoring 22 points in 22 minutes on the court.

Meanwhile, Hapoel Haifa were led by Amit Simhon, who put up 14 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals to helping the Israeli club seals 75-64 home win against Telenet Giants Antwerp. On the other hand, the visitors were hampered by their free throw shooting - they made only 9-of-21 attempts with their Second Round hopes having already been dashed.

There are still 10 spots remaining in the next phase as the Regular Season comes to its conclusion on Wednesday with 14 games taking place.
