Bahcesehir lock up a Quarter-Final spot as Avtodor also advance

MUNICH (Germany) - The first two spots in the Quarter-Finals were confirmed on Wednesday as a victory for Bahcesehir College took both the Turkish club and Avtodor Saratov through to the next phase.

Bahcesehir came through a testing encounter away at Bakken Bears to prevail in an 86-85 triumph as they joined unbeaten Group L leaders Avtodor on four wins. Sam Dekker posted 19 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists with Jamar Smith adding 18 points in the victory.

The visitors moved into an 11-point lead late in the third, but Bakken applied pressure down the stretch to close within a single possession although it proved too little, too late. Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson led the fightback with a game-high 21 points in defeat.

ZZ Leiden took a major step towards locking up their own place in the last eight as they pulled clear for a 77-59 success on the road against Legia Warszawa. The Dutch side doubled up their opponents in the final quarter to wrap up their fourth win and stay top of Group I.

Asbjorn Midtgaard and Marijn Ververs both netted 17 points with Einaras Tibutus adding a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Benfica kept their hopes alive with a second consecutive win in Group K. It was another scoring outburst from Frank Gaines that paved the way with a 25-point haul in the 76-67 victory at Trefl Sopot.
