Falco Vulcano youngster Durazi earns Top Performer honors

MUNICH (FIBA Europe Cup) - Krisztofer Durazi of Falco Vulcano took advantage of the opportunity to showcase his talents in the last game of the FIBA Europe Cup campaign for the Hungarian side, earning the Top Performer honors in his season debut.

The 19-year-old forward was the main beneficiary in a one-sided 104-43 blowout victory against Karposh Sokoli, putting together a double-double of 21 points and 19 rebounds in just 24 minutes of playing time off the bench.

Durazi converted on an efficient 9-of-13 attempts from the field, while also coming up big on the defensive end with a steal and 3 blocks for an efficiency of 35.

His teammate Zoltan Perl, only 22-years-old himself, filled the boxscore by scoring 14 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, dishing out 6 assists, coming away with 3 steals and blocking 2 shots.  

Elsewhere, Istanbul BBSK center Ivan Buva had his best game of the season in a 97-70 win over Dinamo Tbilisi to also make the Team of the Week. The Croatian big man double-doubled with 22 points and 10 boards, while getting other players involved from the low block with 5 assists.

Mohamed Abukar of Keravnos had another stellar performance with 26 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals for the Cypriot champs, who registered a 75-65 win over Egis Kormend to claim the Group D crown with a 5-1 record.

Belfius Mons-Hainaut guard Christopher Jones was the only player to land an appearance among the Top Performers in a losing effort, collecting 20 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals in a 78-75 defeat by Khimik.
