Nanterre 92 and Elan Chalon to contest all-French FIBA Europe Cup Final

MUNICH (FIBA Europe Cup) – Nanterre 92 and Elan Chalon will contest the 2017 FIBA Europe Cup Final in an all-French affair, by winning their respective Semi-Finals on Wednesday evening.

Trailing with a one-point (77-76) deficit into the return leg game in Bonn, Nanterre 92 fought back from 15 points in arrears (16 on aggregate) to record a famous 86-81 victory over Telekom Baskets, 162-158.

There they will meet 2016 Final Four hosts Elan Chalon. Having lost on the road to Telenet Oostende 85-80 a week earlier, the going was much easier at home for Chalon who eased to the 83-65 triumph for a 163-150 win on aggregate.

Elan Chalon are scheduled to host the first leg of the Final on April 18, before the season is set to draw to a close in Nanterre on April 25.
