Quarter-Finals set as Israel take a historic first ticket

KLAIPEDA / VILNIUS (Lithuania) - Israel have guaranteed their best-ever finish at the FIBA U20 Women's European Championship after they made the Quarter-Finals of the competition for the very first time.

- Israel come back with a superb third quarter against Finland for a historic 63-53 success to make the Quarter-Finals.
- Despite finishing third in their Group, Turkey land in the top eight as Elif Istanbulluoglu stars in a win against Poland.
Spain and France remain flawless after the Round of 16 as they make it four wins from four games at the event. France are the first team to hit 100 points in a game at this edition of the event.

Top Performers 

Hila Karsh made it an extra special day to remember by not only being part of a history-making Israel side, but also leading her country with a fantastic 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists in the momentous success against Finland for a performance efficiency valuation in the Round of 16 with 29.

The 29 valuation was shared by Jovana Spasovski who posted 22 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists as Serbia strolled past Lithuania and into the top eight. 

Luize Sila chose a good time to have her best game of the tournament to date as she fired Latvia past Sweden 81-72 with 23 points, 11 boards and 6 assists.

Elif Istanbulluoglu went to work for Turkey with 16 points,9 rebounds and 5 steals to show her quality and guide her team past Poland 70-63.

Carla Leite continued her good form for France as she accumulated 23 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals in the one-sided win against Czech Republic.
