MVP silver lining for Andorra's Miguel Marti Chamorro to lead All-Star Five

TIRANA (Albania) - Miguel Marti Chamorro was named Most Valuable Player at the FIBA U16 European Championship, Division C despite missing out on the top spot on the podium with Andorra.

Leading the tournament with an astonishing 30.4 efficiency rating, Miguel Marti Chamorro finished with 24.8 points and 17.6 rebounds per game as his side took silver.

Luxembourg's title-winning duo Jonathan Diederich and Damien Thill joined Marti Chamorro in the lineup as both ranked in the top 12 in scoring. Diederich averaged 16.5 points per game having produced a team-high 17 points in their Final triumph.

Jacob Solvason of Wales earned his spot after helping his side to bronze with a 23-point outing to finish with tournament averages of 13.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists. Scotland missed out on a place on the podium with their defeat to Wales, but Callum Mortimer did make the All-Star Five after putting up 16.8 points - third in scoring - and 7.0 rebounds.
