SKOPJE (North Macedonia) - There will be 16 teams battling it out to be crowned winners of the FIBA U16 European Championship in Skopje, North Macedonia from August 5-13.

Lithuania captured the title in 2022 after taking down Spain in the Final, as Mario Saint-Supery was named the MVP for the runners-up.

That was Lithuania's first title since 2008 and they also prevented Spain from winning back-to-back titles in the competition.

Spain are the most successful side in the history of the event in terms of total medals, winning 19, but Yugoslavia still have the most gold medals with eight.
