Season scoring high catapults Dupree into Top Performers’ team

EKATERINBURG (EuroLeague Women Final Four) – With a season-best 39 points, ZVVZ USK Prague’s Candice Dupree almost did enough to create a second upset on an action-packed Friday night.

Following on from Fenerbahce’s stunning victory over Final Four hosts UMMC Ekaterinburg, ZVVZ USK Prague looked set to create another shock by forcing the undefeated Dynamo Kursk into overtime. This was all in no small part to Dupree’s 39-point showing that earned her an incredible efficiency of 45.

However, it was not enough as the Czech outfit lost momentum in overtime and Angel McCoughtry took over, ending the game with 28 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds to also earn her spot on the squad.

Rounding out the front court is the irrepressible Jantel Lavender. The Fenerbahce big was a force untouchable under the hoops, ending the game with a 21-point, 10-rebound double-double.

She is joined in the Top Performers by teammate Allie Quigley, who came to life following the break to drive Fenerbahce's offense with 15-second half points, having only managed 2 through the opening two quarters.

Rounding out the team is a disappointed Diana Taurasi. Despite her 26-point showing, there was heartbreak for hosts UMMC Ekaterinburg, who saw their efforts to go back-to-back thwarted at the first hurdle.
