Ogwumike leads EuroLeague Women Week 3 Top Performers

MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) - Back by popular demand, it is the EuroLeague Women Top Performers and it feels only right that a former regular face is once more leading the charge.

When this used to be a weekly column, the biggest talking point was when Nnemkadi Ogwumike was not on the team, a trend that looks set to continue this season.

The Dynamo Kursk forward was in fine touch Wednesday evening, picking up an efficiency of 30 as the Russian outfit rolled over BLMA 88-50 on the road. She led her team in scoring and rebounding with 16 and 14 respectively.

Also finishing with an efficiency of 30, albeit in a losing effort was Wisla Can-Pack's Ziomara Morrison. The center had 23 points and 10 rebounds, but it would not be enough to avoid her side dropping 76-75 to Schio in front of their home fans.

One of Europe's best in Sonja Petrovic was in deft touch for ZVVZ USK Prague, pacing their offence with 20 points, which was further complemented by 8 boards. It all added up to an efficiency of 23 as ZVVZ Prague went by Mersin 75-69 on the road.

Holding everything together at the back this week is Cristina Ouvina, the Spaniard earning an efficiency ranking of 20, thanks to 9 assists and 9 rebounds. She led Nadezhda to a comfortable 70-46 road win at CCC Polkowice.

Her fellow Spaniard Alba Torrens claimed the other back-court position, managing 14 points and 9 assists for an efficiency of 20 as UMMC Ekaterinburg also won on the road, 73-64 over Hatay.
