Fenerbahce underline ambitions by landing Parker

ISTANBUL (EuroLeague Women) - Fenerbahce have made a serious statement of intent to land their first ever EuroLeague Women title after confirming the acquisition of Candace Parker.

Arguably the most high-profile player in the women's global game, the forward returns to the competition for the first time since the 2014-15 season.

Parker previously captured a EuroLeague Women title with UMMC Ekaterinburg in 2013 and spent seven consecutive seasons playing for the Russian juggernaut.

She will now line-up at another EuroLeague Women powerhouse and also alongside her WNBA team-mates in Sandrine Gruda and Jantel Lavender.

The trio were crowned WNBA champions last year with the Los Angeles Sparks and now they are hoping that the same frontcourt rotation can bring silverware on this side of the Pond.

Fenerbahce are chasing an impressive sixth successive place in the last four of EuroLeague Women and face Perfumerias Avenida next Tuesday in the first of a three-game Quarter-Finals series.
