    Day 1 results: Israel used a 25-10 final period to see off Russia 78-72 after both sides had traded double-digit leads in the first half. Earlier, Slovenia raced out to an early 18-point lead as they kept Belgium to just 5 points in the opening quarter on their way to a 74-59 victory, while hosts Greece were dominant as they brushed aside Ukraine in an 88-49 success.
