Beat The Expert: Will Fenerbahce end the Hungarian fairytale in battle of the undefeated?

MUNICH (Germany) - Something has to give when the flawless DVTK HUN-Therm and Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding go up against each other with a combined 12 wins and zero defeats to their name so far this season.

The battle of the last two unbeaten clubs in the competition is our Game of the Week and the centerpiece of yet another action-packed Wednesday night when all other clubs in the competition will also be taking to the court.

We also get to press the play button on our 'Beat the Expert' game, with all fans having the chance to cast their votes, while Spanish journalist Manu Fresno drops in as our weekly guest.

Game of the Week: DVTK HUN-Therm vs Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding

It continues to be dreamland for DVTK HUN-Therm as the underdogs went 6-0 last week by seeing off Valencia Basket Club. Now the Hungarians have what seems to be the almost unthinkable opportunity to move to 7-0 by beating the reigning champions. That in itself puts their accomplishments this season up in neon lights.

Also yet to taste defeat since the new campaign tipped off, holders Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding will be itching to show they are the team to beat and to impose their superiority. It's a game that is genuinely intriguing and a great test for both teams to be the last perfect club standing.

You can watch the live broadcast of the game between DVTK HUN-Therm and Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding with commentary on the EuroLeague Women YouTube channel on Wednesday, November 29 at 18:00 CET.

Key matchup:
Emma Meesseman is on a roll and comes into this one having just racked up the first triple-double of her distinguished EuroLeague Women career. It looks and feels like she is turning the heat dial right up and now getting into her stride after a solid and more understated opening. That spells huge danger for all of Fenerbahce's opponents - starting with DVTK HUN-Therm this week.

It will be fascinating to see how the Hungarian hosts try to slow down Meesseman, with that task potentially being given to Milica Jovanovic, Monika Grigalauskyte or Darcee Garbin. They do have some different options and if they individually or collectively shut down Meesseman - which is easier said than done - it will go a long way to providing DVTK with a springboard for a famous victory.

Question of the Week: Who will take top spot in Group B?

It's not only in Group A where the top two teams are meeting this week, first placed ZVVZ USK Praha of Group B will host Cukurova Basketbol Mersin who currently have the same impressive 5-1 record. Both clubs look favorites to take pole position when the Regular Season is done and this game will go a long way to determining that. Or, will another team come out of the pack and make a surge in the second half of the campaign?
