Everything you need to know about the EuroLeague Women Qualifiers

MUNICH (Germany) - The 2022-23 EuroLeague Women campaign has finally landed as a host of clubs from across the continent prepare to fight it out in the all-important Qualifiers.

Here's a quick-fire guide to everything you need to know.

What's at stake and when are the games?

There are just three precious tickets available for the EuroLeague Women Regular Season and every one of the eight different clubs competing has their eyes firmly on the  prize.

The eight clubs have been divided into two Qualifying Tournaments of three-teams, with games played on a round-robin basis and both tournament winners advancing. There is also a Qualifiers Play-Off for the remaining two clubs, who will play each other across two legs on a home and away basis, with the winner of the tie progressing.

The games will take place week from October 11-19 and the full Qualifiers schedule is available HERE.

Who are the clubs taking part in the Qualifiers?

Olympiacos S.F.P. played in the 2018-19 Regular Season

Qualifiers Tournament A (Belgrade, SRB):

ACS Sepsi-SIC (ROU) - The Romanian champions have been here before in the Qualifiers but have not been able to progress to the Regular Season. Much of their best work has come in EuroCup Women during recent seasons.

Olympiacos S.F.P. (GRE) - The Greek giants have played in the Regular Season previously and head coach Martins Zibarts will be confident he can guide his team back there. Much is likely to depend on what looks like being the crunch game against ACS Sepsi-Sic.

KKZ Crvena Zvezda (SRB) - Very much the underdogs despite home advantage in Belgrade, Crvena Zvezda are looking to punch a ticket to their maiden Regular Season. They competed last year in EuroCup Women, but want to now take a step up.

Qualifiers Tournament B (Miskolc, HUN):

DVTK Hun-Therm play in a recently constructed purpose built Arena

DVTK Hun-Therm Miskolc (HUN) - A regular in EuroCup Women during these past seasons, DVTK know what it is like to come up short in these Qualifiers but will be hoping this time they can get it done and especially if they have the home court for these games.

Elizur Ramla (ISR) - Ramla have previous EuroCup Women experience on their resume but a maiden Regular Season appearance would be a rare things for Israeli basketball. It would also be a big boost for the country ahead of co-hosting the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2023.

Botas SK (TUR) - Another club who has spent time competing in EuroCup Women, Botas Spor are keen to join the list of Turkish sides that have graced the EuroLeague Women Regular Season.

Qualifiers Play-Off:

ESBVA last played in EuroLeague Women during the 2018-19 season

ESBVA (FRA) - The French club were successful when they played in the Qualifiers back in 2018 and since then have played in EuroCup Women. They will have the insider track on Girona as they signed Kennedy Burke who was the Spanish team's best player last year.

Spar Girona (ESP) - Girona have played in the Regular Season for the past three seasons and had established themselves as being a highly competitive entrant. They will arguably be slight favorites in this tie and have EuroLeague Women legend and the now retired Laia Palau as their new General Manager.

How do clubs in the Qualifiers fare if they make the Regular Season?

Beretta Famila Schio were in the Qualifiers last season and made the Quarter-Finals

While it changes each year and most clubs have a main goal of making the Regular Season and competing, the last two campaigns have witnessed two teams from the Qualifiers making the Quarter-Finals. Last year, Beretta Famila Schio only just missed out on the Final Four and in 2020-21, Spar Girona made the last eight of the competition.

What about the clubs that don't make it to the Regular Season?

The clubs who don't manage to punch their ticket to the EuroLeague Women Regular Season will instead be placed into the EuroCup Women Regular Season. The draw for this can be found HERE.

Which players should I look out for in the Qualifiers?

Spanish forward Maria Araujo will again be an important figure for Spar Girona
