MUNICH (Germany) - The current EuroLeague Women campaign has once again seen some of the best players in the world lighting it up across the various statistical categories.

As the pause button is pushed for the winter break, it's the perfect time to check out who the main statistical chart-toppers are, and who's in hot pursuit.

The race to be crowned the competition's leading scorer is always a hotly-contested one, with Kayla McBride of Fenerbahce Safiport currently leading the way. The guard is the only player in the competition averaging 20 points per game and her scoring prowess has been pivotal in taking her team on an exciting five-game winning streak, after turning up the dial in past weeks.

The EuroLeague Women December MVP Brionna Jones is breathing down the neck of McBride, having shifted up the gears in the scoring stakes with her team on an even longer positive run of victories. Meanwhile, with both Tina Krajisnik and Arike Ogunbowale both well-known for their scoring exploits in previous seasons, the most notable baller in the top five is Kennedy Burke, the only debutante and someone enjoying a super maiden season with Spar Girona.

The only player who has managed to clean up on the glass and post a double-figure rebounding return is Sandrine Gruda of Beretta Famila Schio. Indeed the French international's work on the boards has led to her jumping to third place in the modern era EuroLeague Women rebounding chart.

The frontcourt quartet chasing Gruda have all harvested more than 9 rebounds per outing, with one particularly interesting number being the massive 43 offensive rebounds taken by Elizabeth Williams of Fenerbahce Safiport. 

The measure of the impact Alyssa Thomas continues to have in EuroLeague Women for ZVVZ USK Praha is perhaps best reflected in the fact that she tops the assists chart with 6.3 assists per game, without even being a guard. The do-it-all forward has been a colossus once again while, interestingly, Alina Iagupova is in the second spot and is showing that despite her reputation as a prolific scorer, her best category has been passing the rock this season.

Meanwhile the modern era EuroLeague Women assists leader Laia Palau, a true legend of the competition, continues to pile on more assists to her overall tally. The veteran Spar Girona playmaker is averaging 5.2 assists to make the top five.

Olivia Epoupa sits proudly at the top of the steals chart and that is quite something as the BLMA guard has had to come back from a serious injury sustained with the French national team at the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2021, which prevented her from competing in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Her quickness and reading of the game is back to its best.

Epoupa's teammate on the French national team, Gabby Williams, has taken individual defensive awards in the past and she is showing why with 2.6 steals per game for Sopron Basket. Meanwhile it has been a difficult first season in the competition for KSC Szekszard who are 0-10 in Group A, but Agnes Studer is doing everything she can to inspire a slice of history and a first win with 2.6 steals per outing.

As well as her offensive rebounding prowess at one end of the floor, Elizabeth Williams has also been a force defensively for Fenerbahce Safiport and that is highlighted by her chart-topping 2.8 blocks per game. She is being hunted by Dragana Stankovic who has enjoyed a terrific first half of the campaign with ZVVZ USK Praha in the wake of the Serbian's switch to the Czech club during the off-season.

Finally, Daugile Saurauskaite deserves a shout out with TTT Riga having a stronger season than many had expected with four wins already to their name and much of that has been down to the Lithuanian center and her 1.7 blocks per game.
